Interview
Waste of time. After all the work you go through to get an interview. If you don't score over a certain amount on the role play phone section you don't even get through to the face to face part.
It's so difficult the interviewer even told me to re-apply as I would have a better chance doing it the second time round. You have to read so much information (13 pages) about all different things to do with accounts (travel insurance, mortgages, loans, advanced holders) and my feedback was that. I was just reading off the screen even though it's a script??? I was also told 'you don't need to know about the products or about HSBC' but you clearly do to pass the phone interview.

Interview
I submitted my CV online and heard back from HSBC a few days later to arrange a time for my telephone interview. The interviewer was really friendly and asked me a few questions. I felt, however, very difficult to make out what she said because of her strong accent and poor quality of the telephone line.
