I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at HSBC (Kraków) in May 2022
Interview
Recruitment process for the position way beyond candidate's experience and knowledge with coding skills test on a whiteboard! during Zoom call.
Very positive 1st interview and negative the 2nd hence Neutral
The process was as follows: the recruiter reached out to me via linkedin for the analyst position. I had a quick screening phone and I was soon invited to the 1st technical interview (the position should be rather named Data Scientist) consisting of Python, SQL and Statistics questions. It went so so, because it was very detailed and for someone with working knowledge and experience in Data Science and Machine Learning (not me). Yet the interview was conducted in very nice atmosphere and it helped me a lot to locate the gaps in my knowledge so I rate it positively.
To my suprprise I was invited to the 2nd round which was a bizzare experience with silence from the new recruiters after almost every answer given and clear indication that they don't plan to hire me right from the start. Same time scheduled as for the 1st interview but complete waste of time.
