Grundfos interview questions

After applying, I was approached by an external recruiter with whom I had an 30 min interview/screening. Her notes and recommendations were handed over to the hiring manager. I was invited for a second interview. This taking place at HQ, which is a 3-4 hour train ride (regional train) from where I live. I received information via e-mail and went to the interview. There was one more person than originally stated in the information given and the recruitment consultant was a bit stiff and not very engaging. I had a good interview, but unfortunately they chose someone with more experience. What bugs me though is that I spent 2000 DKK roughly 295 USD to go to the interview and sadly the company policy dictates that I cannot be reimbursed. Fair enough, but still, it sure would have been nice considering this position was about branding the company as a place you would want to work.
