First interview was an HR screening, the guy interviewing me was not the most engaging individual, he seemed to be sticking to his list of questions closely as it didn't seem like a naturally flowing conversation. Honestly I was surprised I made it to the next step based on our interaction.
He explained to me that this role is a general role and they would sort me to a position that they thought was a good fit, but I didn't really see how it was possible to understand which position I should be sorted to from the first interview. I wish this had been explained more clearly made with a visual aid as it was hard to understand during the interview.
Next, I was informed I would be sent a business case with 3 days to complete it. I ended up having to travel last minute between the first interview and the business case, and Grover was extremely accommodating when I needed some time to settle in before starting the 3 days for the case.
The case was very data heavy, and I am not a data analyst nor was I trying to apply for one. The case was definitely challenging but overall a good case. However, this is when I began to question my understanding of the MBA associate role and thought maybe it was more of a data analysis role than I understood.
