The interview process was a little bit frustrating. My scheduled phone interview was hours late, they did not contact to let me know they weren't available at the time they scheduled for said interview until I prompted them. The only reason I applied for this position was because it was advertised as 'no experience required' and 'suitable for students'. I made clear I was the above with both my CV and during the phone interview. The interview process continued to a zoom call. I think being a student I lacked the practical experience they wanted to suitably answer some of the scenario/prior experience workplace based questions they asked. Which is of course fair enough, but I do feel they should have been slightly more transparent in their job description as it was obvious to me they did want people with at least some pre-existing sales experience, knowledge around marketing strategies and competency in things like objection handling. Which is hard to teach yourself in less than 24 hours. The zoom interview itself was extremely informal. Overall I felt my time was wasted in the sense I shouldn't have made it that far in the interview process to begin with. If you have even a few months prior telemarketing or sales experience, you will probably fly through the interview process.
