Question 1
If you were working on a mechanical system, and despite redundancies it lacked basic functionality, what steps would you take to find the issue?
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Glassdoor (San Francisco, CA) in Jul 2019
Interview
Overall, I had a really pleasant experience. The interview consisted of 1 phone screening with the recruiter, a phone interview with the hiring manager, 3 back-to-back interviews onsite with the accounting senior managers and assistant controller, and a 45-minute written exam. The whole interview process took about 3 weeks from the date I applied through Glassdoor through the date I got the verbal offer. The interviewers were all really nice and mostly asked behavioral questions / questions to get to know me, my expectations, and what I'm looking for in my next role. The written exam was fairly easy, mostly checking if I had sufficient understanding of accounting.

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Glassdoor (Mill Valley, CA) in Aug 2019
Interview
The process was relatively long and intensive - began with a phone screen with the recruiter, then a phone case interview with the hiring manager, then a take-home case and presentation, and finally an all-day on-site with the team, which included several case interviews. However, the process was excellently run, and the team was clearly a very high-caliber and thoughtful group.
