Interview
I applied online, and two weeks later, I received an email from their HR. Basically, I would receive a phone screen. During the phone screen, the HR went through my resume, but didn't ask hard questions. It went smoothly!
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at General Motors (GM) (Parma, OH) in Aug 2018
Interview
Starts with a phone interview with Hr to begin process. Basic questions and makes sure u understand position. U then recieve online instructions to take an aptitude test and personality test. Takes an hour. U then recieve an email a few days later asking to set up an on site interview. Gm corporate is setting up the interview for the division. U recieve a packet via email welcomes u to the interview process and what to expect. I setup an interview and recieve no further directions. To my delite, there is no visitor parking. Luckily because i had a gm vehicle i could park a mile away in the close parking lot. Had to work my way through a maze of turn styles and phone calls. Remembering u were told to dress professionally and are ruining ur dress shoes in the parking lot. The interview is 2 hrs star format and u r interviewed by 2 pairs of individuals. The 1st half was pleasant, 2nd became apparent i wasn't welcome..... While waiting for plant tour i noticed an interview training manual on the managers table. Lame. Don't take the plant tour unless ur wearing walking shoes. They don't care what ur wearing , u will wreck ur feet and ruin ur suit. Huge disconnect between corporate and the plant.
