I applied in-person. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at General Motors (GM) (Detroit, MI) in Dec 2019
Interview
There were three interviews in total. I was fist introduced to the company at a conference and had an informal interview there. After, a couple of weeks I received an email for another interview on HireVue. HireVue was an app that required you to record yourself answering several prompts. The last step, in the process was a Skype call with two hiring managers. These interviews were more personal and they were trying to get to know who you were while also trying to get a feel for how much you knew. I got a response the next following week.

I applied through college or university. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at General Motors (GM) in Nov 2019
Interview
Spoke with GM at my university and was told to apply online. Applied online and received a notification for a pre-recorded interview with IQ assessment. Contacted a week later for a 30 minute phone screen. Little after a week was contacted for a final interview with a hiring manager. Received a callback 3 days later with an offer from HR.
I was contacted by a recruiter, to apply for this position, and overall the entire process was very fast (1 week). The interview consisted of a lot of experience based questions (STAR). Took about an hour to complete. Overall, a very smooth experience.
