Interview
Applied online during the November of the fall semester of my senior year in mechanical engineering. Had a preliminary phone interview with three to four on-site engineers in the follow March. Questions were fundamental aerospace/aerodynamics/fluid mechanics questions about boundary layers, force/moment calculations, turbulence. Follow-up on-site interview in San Diego consisted of 30 minute technical presentation of previous work to a group of four to five senior engineers followed by a Q&A and tour of the facilities.

Question 1
Fluid mechanics fundaments (boundary layer, force/moments, turbulence). On-site interview questions directly related to technical presentation you give.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at General Atomics (Poway, CA) in May 2017
Interview
It was a mix between technical questions and hypotheticals. They wanted to see how I would react to people in higher positions than me. Communication skills is a very important aspect of the job.

Again, sat and discussed resume and job position. Was asked to identify various components in an electrical unit, as well as discuss how the unit worked. Was then given a tour of the facility and manufacturing floor.
