I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Gap (New York, NY) in Apr 2011
Interview
I filled out an application online and received a call later that day. I missed the call but called back and scheduled an interview for 2 days later @ 3:30. I arrive there about 3:25 and wait a long time for the manager up untill about 4:15. Then i get interviewed. the manager never siled and never really seemed interested in hiring me. The interview was very short (about 5 minutes). I dont know why i dint get the job. I did tons of research and prep, was very upbeat, smiled, although i must admit I didnt maintain eye contact the way i usually do. I got a "thanks but no thaks" email the next day.
The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Gap (Chicago, IL) in Dec 2009
Interview
It was a very easy interview. I basically met with the store manager, and they asked me about some of my previous work experience and my availability. Nothing too difficult. Plus, the manager was very nice and made me feel comfortable.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Gap in Apr 2011
Interview
I applied online and within 24 hours I got the call from the manager, which was surprising because I have zero retail experience, and was only applying for summer. I was really nervous because it was my first real interview. It consisted of a phone interview, and then I was asked to come into the store for an interview. It was one on one with the manager, who was super nice and laid back. She asked general Q's, like a time you had to break the ice or a time you had to manage multiple tasks in order of importance. Then I had to pick out outfits based on my personal style, which was pretty fun! I'm waiting on a phone call, I really hope I get it!
