I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Gap (Calgary, AB) in Apr 2011
Interview
I first got a call from the manager about 3 days after I applied online. When I was at the interview, we started off with a set of very basic questions. Nothing out of the ordinary. After the questions, the manager asked me to go inside of the store and pick a couple of outfits that reflected my personality. I then explained the outfits to him and related them to myself. Afterwards, we had a sort of role playing activity in which the manager was a customer and I was a sales associate. When these two activities were done, he very politely explained my flaws and gave me wonderful suggestions on how to improve my approach to customers. Since this was my very first time applying for a job in the retail environment, I learned a lot about this field. The manager was very polite and professional.

I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Gap (New York, NY) in Apr 2011
Interview
I filled out an application online and received a call later that day. I missed the call but called back and scheduled an interview for 2 days later @ 3:30. I arrive there about 3:25 and wait a long time for the manager up untill about 4:15. Then i get interviewed. the manager never siled and never really seemed interested in hiring me. The interview was very short (about 5 minutes). I dont know why i dint get the job. I did tons of research and prep, was very upbeat, smiled, although i must admit I didnt maintain eye contact the way i usually do. I got a "thanks but no thaks" email the next day.
The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Gap (Chicago, IL) in Dec 2009
Interview
It was a very easy interview. I basically met with the store manager, and they asked me about some of my previous work experience and my availability. Nothing too difficult. Plus, the manager was very nice and made me feel comfortable.
