I applied online. I interviewed at GLG in Jan 2020
Interview
30 minute phone interview-screening. Emphasis on "Why GLG" and why you are interested in the position specifically. Discuss your skills and details about the role and what it entitles.
very professional with clear flow and nice recruiter, they will do reference check at offering stage. Also, written test is necessary for some specific roles. You have to be confident and be yourself during the interview process. The manager will ask detailed questions so make sure to be prepared about what you have achieved during last job.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at GLG (Londres, Inglaterra) in Feb 2020
Interview
Very bland, and unfocussed experience. Zoomcall was scheduled, interviewer logged on 7 minutes late into a 30 minute call.
After going over describing my experience and background, I was asked the generic 'why do you think you would be a good fit for the role?'. The interviewer did nothing to correlate the job requirements with my experience, or ask me deeper questions on my professional and managerial experience. Forget about having a chance to use the STAR method to showcase my work.
The icing on the cake was when I was quickly (within 15 minutes) asked if I had questions for her - I referred to the overwhelmingly negative and concerning feedback about working for GLG London, that I read on Glassdoor. The interviewer had my sympathy at that point as she basically admitted that there's been massive turnover at the London office - within a couple of minutes though, she wrapped up the interview, and I received a stock email from GLR recruitment the next day stating I was not progressing to the next round. Talk about encouraging open 2 way interactions!
