I applied through college or university. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at GE (Calcuta) in Dec 2015
Interview
I applied through my institute.
It was a two step process.
First was a telephonic interview where basic questions related to modelling were asked. The person on the other side was keen on listening to my views in the open ended questions.
Second was a face to face HR round.
It was my first interview in any corporate firm. I was nervous at first. But the HR made me feel comfortable.
Although I was interested to join GE global research, but i was given a position in GE Aviation.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Basic questions on regression techniques.
A question on time series analysis which I couldn't answer.
2 puzzles.
Discussion on my projects so far.
A lot of behavioral questions were asked. Nothing technical, but it was only for an internship and I was pretty young. It was basically just the interviewer trying to see if you would fit into their culture. They like people who show leadership potential. They also a silly "logic" question to see what my way of thinking was.
I applied through college or university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at GE (Pittsburgh, PA) in Feb 2017
Interview
Good interview. The questions were not difficult. There were two people there, one from HR and one from engineering, although most of the questions were behavioral and talking about experiences with projects and groupwork.
