The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at GE in Apr 2010
Interview
The interviewers were fairly nice and asked simple questions regarding my CV and cover letter. The main question was " why do you want to work for GE?", so know your CV inside out. However, they did most of the talking though.
I got a call back from GE a couple days after the interview so it was a success.
I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at GE in Apr 2009
Interview
I applied to the job on a university job posting site. A couple of weeks later, I received an email about setting up an interview. The interview was on-campus for about 45 minutes. The interviewer asked behavioral questions (typical ones...describe a time when you had to work on a team, etc.). We chatted and then he offered me the position on the spot.

Interview
Met with interviewer the day before at a career and after a brief review of my resume I received an interview for the next day. The interview was primarily behavioral based and moves fairly quickly. My interviewer kept me on my toes by changing question topics quickly and mixing in some unexpected technical questions.
