I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at GE
Interview
I talked to a recruiter at an on campus event. The next week I received an email requesting a video/phone interview. After that I received a call from the head of the ITLP program I was applying for with a verbal offer. I then received the written offer and had about a week and a half to make my decision.

I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at GE in Oct 2014
Interview
Applied through university's career development website, submitted a resume and a cover letter; GE had a booth in the campus career fair as well. There was a chance to talk to the interviewer and past interns there. Later received email notifications and attended an info session, and had an on-campus interview.
Interview took roughly an hour and ask various behavorial questions focused on groupwork and the experience you have working in a group. They took typical group project questions and forces you answer the question from every possible angle as if to test whether you're fully experienced in participating in every role. I had trouble answering all the questions without going back to the same examples again and again.
