I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at GE Aerospace in Jan 2017
Interview
Very user-friendly process. You can apply from all over the world through GE website. Then HR will check your CV and Motivation letter (write one !!!!). The second stage is a digital test with behaviour questions for specific situations with multiple choice answers. Again you can do this remotely and on convenient for you time. If they proceed your application to the third stage it is a digital video interview with behaviour questions. You have 3-4 min for answer and 30s to prepare. The final stage was an interview (40-50min) with an engineer and the manager.

Question 1
They went through my CV.
How do you handle teamwork?
Why do you want this internship?
First round consisted of a phone interview which involved mainly behavioural questions and some vague tech conceptual questions. Next stage was a face-to-face interview day consisting of a 10 minute presentation at the start (which I had to prepare for in advance) and then another interview by two different senior systems engineers. Weird interview process because some of the questions asked at the end of the presentation were the same as in the interview.

General competency questions such as: Tell me about a time when you've done x and y. No technical questions apart from describing what the V model is in comparison to the waterfall model (phone interview).
