I applied in-person. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at GE Aerospace (Grand Rapids, MI) in Jun 2013
Interview
Standard company process of general questions, nothing that stands apart. They call you for an interview after they pick it out and then you meet with them in person. After that, it may take up to 3-4 weeks for them to get back to you. Seems like the process keeps changing from time to time.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at GE Aerospace
Interview
Started with a brief phone interview with the team I would be working with, the usual getting to know you thing. Then GE flew me out to Ohio for a site interview. Spent a few hours with the team, seeing their facilities and offices and such. Then a short interview with the HR manager asking the usual interview questions. All in all the process went pretty quick and smooth.

Interview
Interview was during an engineering conference the day after initially talking to recruiters. Was about 30 minutes Long and consisted of all behavioral questions. Interviewer was laid back and eager to have a casual conversation. Indicated that I would receive an offer at the end of the interview.
