I have applied online and connected with a member of the talent acquisition team on LinkedIn. We had a phone call on the following day to discuss the application process, culture at Form3 and the next stage of the interview process.
There are two stages after the initial phone call – technical test in GO and a face-to-face interview with the wider team. Coming from the .NET background (i.e. never done GO before), I have spent circa 25-30 hours on picking up GO, reading about good practices online, doing PluralSight courses, etc. I wanted to do a good job, so I spent as much time as was necessary. On one hand, you spend a significant amount of your own time, which is not easy, but on the other hand, you get to learn an awful lot about GO, different tech stack, etc. Once the code was submitted, the feedback was provided within a few days and I was invited onto the final stage.
The final stage was straightforward. I was interviewed by three different people who focused on:
- Tech tack overview at Form3
- Test feedback
- Networking
- Continuous integration/delivery
The whole process was stress free. I was never rushed and everybody who interviewed me was very friendly and knowledgeable.
