Interview
In-person, 15-minute conversation. Store manager met me at a table in an open part of the store with customers and other workers within earshot. Conversation was clear and manager was prepared with thoughtful questions and my resume printed out. Manager did pay attention to what others were doing at times, and it was hard for me to not look around while we spoke.

Laid back interview, still waiting for a response back but was all personality questions and how you approach situations. It was low stakes and a much more casual interview than I was expecting.

What was a setback you experienced and how did you overcome it?
Short and sweet. Usually with the manager and then the owner. Lasted about 30 minutes. They really wanted to know if you were able to be a normal human being and connect to the people shopping there.

Interview
It was a 30 min general conversation about my background, interest in running, and why I'm interested in the position. I was not tested on shoe knowledge. I think showing interest in the sport and helping people are the most important aspects.
