I applied online. I interviewed at Fiserv in Mar 2019
Interview
Company I originally interviewed with had been acquired. Fiserv recruiter contacted me about role, we setup a time to talk over the phone.
Recruiter asked about previous interview experience (which was also negative). We dove right into salary requirements and the call crashed and burned from there.
Apparently I was like 60k above the max comp for the role. I mentioned that it would be a hard sell to get folks looped in on this role at the target comp she was referring to.
Recruiter then mentioned I must not know who Fiserv is, and mentioned that the company just bought First Data. Also mentioned that I am *too* focused on salary. She said I should look at it from the perspective of a VP title, which is what my salary requirements equaled apparently. I wished her well and thanked her for her time. Giant waste of time.
All in all an extremely arrogant recruiter.
If you have the experience, the know-how and the drive, don't sell yourself short. This company isn't worth it.
