I filled out an online application with my work experience and applied for a few office temp positions listed on their site. I was called in for an interview (can't remember how much time passed) at their office. They asked me to bring my driver's license and social security card. When I arrived, the receptionist had me take a few screening tests, one for basic math (I was allowed to use a calculator), one for filing (putting words in alphabetical order), and one for proofreading (looking for misspelled words). I also had to sign several waivers saying that I was willing to undergo a background check, drug test, etc.
After completing the tests, I had my interview with one of the staffing people. He went through the past jobs that I had listed and asked what I did at each, what I liked, and what I didn't like. Also asked if I'd ever been late for work, missed work, and how I got around (car or public transit). He asked when I was available, what type of work I was looking for, and what pay I expected. (I said that I was available anytime and expected around $10/hr).
My interviewer said that he thought they would be able to find temp work for me and he would give me a call. Before I left I also had to watch a video about getting health benefits and sign off on whether I wanted benefits or not.
