Very difficult process. Know your stuff! If you're not confident, keep practicing. 1 phone screening 3 on site interview. Don't be afraid to bring documents to your interviews. Be ready to talk about your side projects.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Experian (Costa Mesa, CA) in Dec 2012
Interview
Telephone interview with HR person, then telephone interview with the hiring manager and a senior-level worker, in-person interview with hiring manager and the team, and lastly a phone interview with the Head of Compliance. After a background check is completed, you get an offer with the choice to counter-offer or accept. It took about 3 weeks and was very quick.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked a lot of "How would you handle this?" or "What would you do?" type questions where you detail how you would work case work.
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Experian (Nottingham, Inglaterra)
Interview
Lengthy and wasteful. Often a telephone interview followed by 2-3 face to face interviews and a presentation. Often an agency will contact you first and do a pre-screening too.
Additionally, the roles didn't actually exist even though they were advertised. They were either withdrawn after a 3 month wait or they had an internal candidate already in post.
Experian are a disgrace and their recruitment conveniently never reply to calls or emails.
