I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Experian in Jan 2018
Interview
I've applied for the marketing automation manager "Eloqua expert" position...twice. Yes, it's a three month contracted position with the possibility of extension. Being that the position is in Orange County and requires a lot of Eloqua experience, I know that the market of possible candidates is very small. I'm writing this because I've already been contacted by 5 recruiters today about this position being opened up for a, you guessed it, third time. What does it mean when the past two candidates didn't work out or didn't want to stay? Bad work environment? Bad hire? Better opportunities? And in fact, they've raised the hourly rate each time (39 -> 41 -> 45). It just shows desperation. And the interview process takes weeks, it's awful, and no real feedback. The hiring manager is completely delusional. Didn't remember who I was from the first time we interviewed over the phone, and both times said I wasn't "technical enough", which doesn't really make sense to me. Maybe it was a nice way of saying no, but I'll never be sure because I never got any better feedback than that, even after applying a second time...
When their first two hires are gone after their 3 month contracts (the position was first posted in December 2017), what does that say about the role, manager, and company?
I've also had another terrible interview experience with a different division of the company and different team, but that's another story...these are not fun people to work with. Heartless, dull, awkward.
