1. Applied online. Got positive feedback and instantly a call was scheduled by the head of product, data and engineering. The call was to determine company fit as well as salary expectations and previous experience. This was done over Google hangouts call.
2. A second call was then scheduled. It was a technical call with the head of QA. He asked questions in line with manual tests, automated tests and SQL, very technical questions.
3. I got feedback that the technical interview was impressive, so we could start the bootcamp process. Bootcamp is a company process to allow both the company and employee to check if they are a match for each other to avoid rushed decisions on either side. This is my understand though in simple terms. Due to different time zones, helps employees know if they will handle the time zone difference to. The process of bootcamp runs for about 2 weeks and this period is paid for by the initial offer received, in my case it was per hour and I had to complete 40 hours each week.
4. 2 weeks later I got confirmation of successfully impressing in my bootcamp and I was offered a permanent position with the company.
