I applied online, within two days I received a call from the Group Manager "Talent Acquisition." The lady was very enthusiastic and outgoing, we talked about my interest in the company for about 15 minutes and then scheduled a 1:1 interview for the next day. Apparently, the chat I had over the phone was considered the first interview! The next day I did a branch observation for an hour, there was not much to do than sit and watch the employees works....(take notes, if needed). After the branch observation, I interviewed with the Area Manager and the Branch Manager as well, they seemed nice. The interview was simple, basic questions about how I heard about the job, why I'm interested, if I would be willing to work 50 hours and sometimes weekends, occasionally wash cars if things get busy, if I thought the pay was low, etc. Finalizing the interview, they stated that if I get the third interview I would have to travel to Fresno (a city two hours away) to meet with their Group Manager. Surprisingly, that same evening I received a call from the talent acquisition manager to asks if I could meet the group manager the next day, as he would be in town. The interview was during my current work hours, so they went out of their way to have that manager come from fresno and meet me earlier than planned so it wouldn't interfere with my current job. The third interview with the group manager was a little more extensive, he asked me about the company's history, if i had sales experience (which I don't), why I want to suddenly change my communications career of five + years for this job, etc. etc. I answered with honesty and confidence. He complimented my answers and said I would hear from them in two days after they analyzed my background check. As promised, I received an e-mail two days after this last interview. I thought it would say I didn't get the position as a management trainee....but instead it was an e-mail from the Talent Acquisition Manager stating that my background check is in process and that I will hear from her to go into the "last interview." another one? I thought it only took three? They must really want to know their applicants! I'm crossing my fingers, I've heard great things about this company and I sure need the experience! It seems like I could keep escalating my way up if I apply myself.
Crossing my fingers! Either way, everyone has been professional and very nice in the interview process!
