I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at English 1 (Londres, Inglaterra) in Jun 2016
Interview
I had an interview over Skype and was asked to prepare a short lesson activity beforehand which would be performed during the interview. I was asked a series of roughly 18 personality related questions which required one/two word answers. I was also asked about my teaching experience and was encouraged to provide specific examples. Lastly we did a role play exercise where I gave a two minute introduction to a grammar lesson which had been prepared beforehand. The process lasted nearly an hour but I was made to feel very comfortable and relaxed.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at English 1 in Jan 2016
Interview
It was a very nice interview. Professional but not rigid. I was encouraged to engage in conversation and was asked a lot of unique but relevant questions to my abilities as a teacher, colleague, and employee. Overall one of my favourite interviews. I did not find it to be difficult because I had already done so many interviews, but for someone new to the process they may find it intimidating and stressful.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at English 1 (Los Angeles, CA) in Aug 2015
Interview
I submitted an online application and as a result, I was granted a Skype interview with an EF recruiter. Part of that interview process involves answering a series of questions based on a couple of scenarios involving adult learners and children that EF sends ahead of time. At the end of the interview I was offered a position in Beijing. This company follows to the letter, the strict procedures Beijing authorities have established for the hiring of Westerners. In other words, there are many, many documents and a couple of medical exams as part of the hiring process. No legal troubles either.
