I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Eli Lilly and Company (Indianapolis, IN) in Dec 2019
Interview
I applied the beginning of Nov. for a full time employee and was contacted by one of the hiring team Advisors by email for a brief phone conversation the following day. I agreed and we spoke briefly about the position to see if I understood what the position was since it was a general description. About a week later the same advisor emailed me to ask for another brief phone call with a colleague to speak about the position the same day. I agreed and they called within 15 min. They asked a few behavioral questions which I was unprepared for and the call lasted about 15 min. I never spoke with a recruiter or HR before this. Two weeks later I get an email asking to come in for an in person interview with 4 people. I was asked all STAR behavioral questions and there was no questions about my experience or my resume. When I would answer the questions one of the interviewers would say that was the wrong answer. So confusing. HR finished the interview with telling me about the benefits. I left the interview feeling that I answered the questions very professionally and correctly and that I was confident that I had the position but the next day I was told I was not offered the position. I even had an employee referral and had worked there for 7 years as a contractor. I asked for feedback but denied.

Applied through online job board and contacted by recruiter three weeks later. Phone screen with recruiter scheduled and second phone interview scheduled 5 days later with another internal recruiter. Many questions on values, how others would describe me. Questions centered around culture fit not job description. Face to face interview scheduled with hiring manager and additional DSM one week later. Contacted by recruiter within 3 business days with final decision from hiring manager. All timelines met. Recruiting team detailed with planning and prep for successful interview. Suggested material to prepare and review for face to face interview was all addressed during conversation. Prepare accordingly. Have brag book updated at start of application to save time as process moves forward.
