I applied online. I interviewed at Duo Security (San Mateo, CA) in May 2017
Interview
Submitted resume on the company website on a Friday afternoon and was contacted within two hours. The ease of scheduling everything here was great and my recruiter was very responsive and transparent through the whole process, which took about a month and had several steps. With the exception of the presentation portion, which is purposely vague, she even prepped me before each interview so I would have an idea of what to expect. The interview process was lengthy and difficult from the perspective of showcasing your skills in a competitive market of top Bay Area talent.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We're happy to hear that your interview was positive, both with your recruiter and the hiring team, and that you ended up joining the Duo team! Welcome aboard!
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Duo Security (Austin, TX) in Jun 2017
Interview
The process was very thorough and friendly from beginning to end. The recruiter was always available to me if I had questions, followed up when she said that she would, and set clear expectations. Most importantly, the recruiter I worked with was completely honest.

I applied online. I interviewed at Duo Security (Austin, TX) in Apr 2017
Interview
I applied online through Duo's career page. I was contacted by a recruiter within a day or two. The recruiter (Mary Ann) was friendly and easy to talk to. She made a great first impression of Duo. After that I had face-to-face interviews with the hiring manager and the VP (hiring manager's boss) and a phone call with the hiring manager's peer. These were great conversations where I was able to learn a lot about Duo's culture and vision. After this, I was brought in to do a "demo" and present a 90 day plan. After this came salary negotiations -- I was impressed with Duo's transparency during this process. After we agreed on a number, my start date was set and I was set to go up to Ann Arbor for training. Overall, Duo's interview process reflects their company values: transparency, kinder than necessary, and fun.
We appreciate you sharing your candidate experience with Duo. We strive to have a transparent process and were glad to hear you valued this as well. Thank you for the positive shout out to your recruiting partner, Mary Ann!
