I applied online. I interviewed at Duo Security (Austin, TX) in Aug 2017
Interview
Nate and the whole team that interviewed me made the experience very relaxed and conversational. All the questions they asked were either directly related to the job or directly related to being a fit with the company's culture and values.
The interview was longer than average, I met with 7 individuals during my on-site, 30 minutes each.
In the end, I was not made an offer but I fully understood their decision and the recruiter has maintained a very honest and open relationship with me since the day I applied.

Thank you very much for taking the time to write about your interview experience. We are glad to hear it was positive all around and you enjoyed working with your recruiter, Nate!
While we didn't move forward with an offer (this time), we look forward to keeping in touch in case another opportunity opens up down the line that might be a better fit.
I applied through other source. I interviewed at Duo Security in Aug 2017
Interview
I was introduced to Duo through a colleague. My first contact with Duo was the Director of Recruiting who introduced me to the Recruiting manager for the role. The Recruiting manager quickly set up a call. Our call was very professional but friendly at the same time. The recruiter asked challenging questions that were intended to identify if my experience was right for the role. At the end, their seemed to be a potentially good fit for my background to the role. Ultimately I did not get the position but would not hesitate to apply for a role with Duo in the future. I believe they have a great solution. Their process to find the right candidate is appropriate and I look forward to following them and ultimately joining their team at some point in the future.

Question 1
This is a highly sought after company. Their questions were very direct and specific to the role as they are in growth mode and need to be certain they bring on the right person to meet the specific need. Be prepared to highlight experience specific to the role and explain how your experience will add greater value to the role that they would expect.
Thank you for sharing your candidate experience through the interview process. While we ultimately didn't end up moving forward (this time), we're glad that you walked away feeling the Duo love!
Please keep in touch, and we look forward to connecting again with you in the future.

Interview
I was reached out to via LinkedIn by a recruiter that I believe was out of Austin, TX. However, I was interviewing for a position in Ann Arbor, MI. She was 45-minutes late for my interview.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
I was asked about my current day-to-day work schedule. She very specifically asked about my compensation (in detail) and other companies I was interviewing with. For a first conversation, it was a bit much.
Thank you for sharing information about your candidate experience. I apologize that this experience didn't live up to either of our expectations, and I will work hard to ensure this doesn't happen again with my team.
