I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Deel (Toronto, ON) in Feb 2022
Interview
I was interviewed for a role that I don't think was actually available at the time. There was some confusion around vacation time of certain individuals I was interviewing with, and very poor communication between their internal hiring teams. They confused me with another candidate and declined me moving further in the process despite verbally extending an invitiation to the next interview round in the previous interview.
When I emailed questions about my presentation, I reveiced no response. The line of questioning in the presentation interview was fairly aggressive. I think they had already hired for the role and were interviewing me to placate me. I would have preferred honesty throughout the process and not to have wasted my time putting together a presentation for nothing only to not hear back from them. I emailed multiple people I interviewed with for feedback after my presentation and got no responses.
I applied online. I interviewed at Deel in Jun 2022
Interview
The process itself is easy. The recruiter was kind and approachable. The chat simulation is fast paced and done in Google meet. One of the leaders shows that she's uninterested.
