I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at DLA Piper (Milán) in Dec 2011
Interview
I had 2 interviews one with the head of the Human Resources dep and the other one with the head of the working team. They made me a first offer that I refused in favor to a second and better one. I was asked questions both in Italian and English to test the level of my second language. After the second interview I was employed soon after that for a full time position as Legal Secretary.Though I was employed as Legal secretary I acted more like an Executive Assistant during the almost 5 years I've worked for DLA Piper. During the interview I was told I was going to receive extra training to develope new skills and to improve the ones I already had and so it was.

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at DLA Piper (Manchester, Inglaterra) in Sep 2019
Interview
2 hour interview with two members from the support team who were really warm and friendly. They made me feel very comfortable and seemed to genuinely enjoy working there. They were also open about the challenges they experience and provide a more realistic idea of what to expect in the role and the ideal candidate best suited to their work environment.

I applied online. I interviewed at DLA Piper (San Diego, CA) in Sep 2017
Interview
Before you ever speak to a live person, via phone or face-to-face, they put you through a very time-consuming, awkward "digital interview". A live person asks you a question, and you have 3 minutes to answer while literally talking to your own reflection. It's so impersonal and very hard to accurately convey responses when self-consciously staring at yourself. Then I took a 2.5 hour assessment of my software skills which was fine. But it also included a personality test where you choose which of two statements best fits you. Sometimes neither are very fitting...nor flattering. After committing all that time to the process, I received, via email, a rejection letter (which had a typo by the way - rather ironic!) It was the worst interview experience I ever had.
