I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at DICK'S Sporting Goods (Boynton Beach, FL) in Feb 2015
Interview
Easy, quick process. First interview with apparel lead then head coach right after. Depending on the managers it could be easy or difficullt. My managers were awesome so it was easy and got hired on the spot. Came in the next day for orientation. Apparel associates must have experience in apparel or retail before or else they wont be interested. They mostly judge personality and if you'd fit the team so try not to be nervous and just be yourself!
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
If you like sports, experiences you had in a team situation and ways you overcame, biggest weakness.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at DICK'S Sporting Goods (Coraopolis, PA) in Jul 2014
Interview
First the recruiter will contact you followed by a phone interview with the hiring manager. Next you will be brought in for an in person interview which consists of multiple 30 minute 1 on 1 sessions. In total the trip lasted about 4 hours. Overall very easy as far as the questions went. Most of the people didn't even bring a standard list of question with them. Much more of an experience based than a situational question interview.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at DICK'S Sporting Goods (Cincinnati, OH) in Jan 2014
Interview
Applied online and was called the next day. Met with 3 managers during the process and was hired right after the interview. Simple interview talking about past work experiences, sports and customer service. Very similar interview to any other retail job. Pretty easy interview, all of the managers were very nice and easy to talk to.
