I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at DICK'S Sporting Goods (Lake Grove, NY) in Jul 2016
Interview
I was brought in a week after applying online. I first interviewed with the Team Sports Lead and had to answer basic "Describe a time when you..." questions. They were all pretty simple. I then instantly was brought to another room to take a quick 55 question pass/fail subjective survey. This was followed by a second interview 5 minutes later with the Assistant Store Manager, who asked me similar questions as the first interview then hired me on the spot after negotiating pay.

Question 1
Describe a time when you feel you demonstrated great Customer Service.
I applied in-person. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at DICK'S Sporting Goods (Montgomery, AL) in Aug 2014
Interview
It was formal and informal at times. The manager was friendly and open about the interview and wanted to know how I would be able to help the company and how I would apply myself. He asked how I would prepare myself for the challenges of a busy work schedule and a stressful personal life.

Question 1
How would I apply my team building skills to the job?
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at DICK'S Sporting Goods
Interview
Applies online and got a call within the next week. Met with both assistant managers for my interview at different times the same day, and then a final meet with the store manager on a different day to hire me on. Very laid-back and mostly behavioral questions. Emphasize your customer skills and knowledge and just be yourself. It helps if you have sports knowledge, but I didn't have much. Dress professional as always, and bring your resume and cover letter. Be prepared to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Great job if your are in school or are at a mature age and would like something to do or earn some extra income (we had quite a few mature women and gentleman who worked here for fun!)
