You also get interviewed by people you will only see once during the hiring process, and will most likely never interact with them in terms of your daily work.

What kind of work have you done that you think will pertain to this work?
I submitted my application online and within a week received an invitation for a phone interview. The interview lasted for about 40 minutes and overall went seamlessly. The interviewer asked a series of questions related to my experiences working with students/children and what I expected out of my experience and what I hoped to achieve during my time working at City Year. Afterwards, I was given some time to ask questions and address any concerns, etc.
