I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at CarMax (Warrensville Heights, OH) in Feb 2016
Interview
I had a phone interview scheduled for 11:30 am on a Thursday. The recruiter didn't call me until about 11:50 am. The interview went well in my opinion. So well that she decided to schedule a second interview the next week at 11:30 am on a Monday. Unfortunately she never called me back for the second interview. I have never been a part of a interview process that was handled so unprofessionally. Her name was Tammie Hayden.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at CarMax (Sacramento, CA)
Interview
30 min phone screen with a regional recruiter.
Approx 3 hr in-person process. I was not warned ahead of time, and was concerned, as I had another interview later that afternoon.
First panel is background questions to verify there were no lies or omissions on application.
Second panel with senior manager with "tell me about a time..." questions.
Third panel with another senior manager with similar, more management based questions.
Lastly, spoke with the purchasing manager about next steps.
On follow-up visit, completed skills test, drug test, & was offered position, but pay was vague in initial offer. I had to clarify pay and benefits. They expected a yes or no answer without that info being given to me.
I applied online. I interviewed at CarMax (Federal Heights, CO) in Aug 2015
Interview
I was contacted by HR and scheduled a phone interview. The interview went well except for the "Tell me about a time when..." questions, I've worked independently for many years so I don't believe I show teamwork and leadership.
