Interview
I submitted my resume to their posting on my school's website. They did not select me for an interview in the fall but came back in the spring and interviewed me then. The interview was a case study mixed in with some behavioral questions. It went well and they invited me to come out to Richmond for final interviews. I ended up accepting another job before I went out there but it was a great experience. The people there are intelligent and laid back - would definitely work for CarMax over Capital One.

Question 1
It was fairly straightforward with standard interview questions. If you don't know what a case study is I would recommend that you research it before you go into your interview.

Interview
Phone interview asked probabiliy and statistics questions...brief in length (only about 30 minutes). The interviewer was kind and respectful....and the outcome of that first round interview was contingent on whether or not the interviewee successfully answered the case question.

The questions weren't unexpected if you had read the information packet sent out with the information about the first round interview.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at CarMax (Milwaukee, WI) in Feb 2009
Interview
You are first interviewed over the phone where they ask you a number of questions to feel if your a good fit for the position. Then from there you are scheduled with an interview what they don't tell you is that this interview may take three to four hours. From there you are brought in and usually interviewed by a manager from a different department that ask you a number of scripted questions. If you do well you are interviewed by a sales manager from there you are interviewed again by two sales managers who put on a script where you are to sell them a car. If you do well you are then interviewed by the Location General Manager and if he/she likes you, then you are offered the job or rescheduled to come in.
