Question 1
Just the basics but be prepared with specific examples.
I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at CarMax (Columbus, GA) in Jun 2015
Interview
I was scheduled for a phone interview and then called by a manager on the agreed upon date and time. The interview was obviously scripted and the interviewer did not really care about expanding with your answers since the questions were so specific. It was honestly a bit awkward and due to the questions being scripted, I did not feel it was a very personal interview. Overall, I was not impressed with Carmax throughout the process.

Question 1
What characteristics do you look for in a company?
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at CarMax (Buena Park, CA) in Nov 2014
Interview
Apply online, phone interview, in person interview and small sales pitch. The online application is very thorough. There is a survey part that will ask about situation stuff. The phone interview is all about being upbeat and positive and talking about previous sales experience and why you want to work for CarMax. The in person interview is nothing but situational questions. Lastly there is a presentation you'll have to do on selling a car. It is very simple and no pressure. They really just want to know how well you interact with a customer. Smile and ask questions about the customers situation. Don't worry about being wrong in an answer the training is awesome!
