I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at CarMax (Fairfield, CA) in Jul 2015
Interview
Applied online and got a call from HR about two days later to set up a time for a phone interview. The Operations Manager called on time and immediately went into questioning. This is when the interview took a weird turn. She asked very basic interview questions and would rush to ask the next question before I could even finish with my answers. At one point cut me off 5 seconds into an answer just to ask another question. When I asked a question about the job she stated it wasn't her department and she really had no idea. The interview lasted 10 minutes. It was very unprofessional and seemed as if they weren't actually interested in filling the position.
I applied through college or university. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at CarMax in Mar 2015
Interview
there was a resume drop through campus recruiting, then an online exam (pretty easy) and then a phone interview. After that there was a final round in their offices. each interview was for fit and had a case. The first interview was very straightforward. The second one was a bit harder, although honestly the case they used was posted here, so I should have nailed it but just didn't.

In store interview started with a questionair followed by being interviewed by two employees. They asked a lot of standard situational job interview questions, then we went straight out to do the mock car sale.
