I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at CarMax in Dec 2015
Interview
I applied via LinkedIn and received a call to schedule a phone interview with the recruiter. The interview was about 45 minutes. A lot of situational questions. Overall I thought it went well. I followed up with an email after and complete silence after that. The recruiter said that she would let me know either way if I would proceed to the next step. Very unprofessional to not even receive a "thanks but no thanks" email.
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at CarMax (Sanford, FL) in May 2015
Interview
Normally there are 2 to 3 interviews with different people. the first is usually over the phone and if that is passed the other two are in person. Most of the management is laid back but ask very specific questions. All to hire "The Right People For The Job" but normally they will hire anyone that is not obnoxious, rude or clearly compleatly wrong for the job, because they waited until the last minute to fill the position

Question 1
Most of the questions asked are the "Tell me about a time when...." and add the disgruntled customer, dis-honest employee, whatever situation you can think of.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at CarMax (King of Prussia, PA) in Mar 2016
Interview
Took about two hours total, in addition to interview with 3 different ppl, there was an assessment and a on-site drug test. Basic interview question in my opinion and there is a lot of emphasis on being truthful.
