I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at CarMax
Interview
Sort of a ridiculous interview for what ended up being a 10.50/hr offer. Had two interviews, one with two senior buyers who were very nice, then one more with a senior buyer and a buyer assistant. Both pairs of interviewers commented about the interview process length, so they know its crazy. Seemed like a good work environment, but poor pay.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at CarMax (King of Prussia, PA) in Mar 2016
Interview
A 15 minute phone interview with one of the managers from the store to ask me about my work history, if I had ever done sales before and why I was interested in the position. The manager laid out the history and philosophy of CarMax and the benefits of working there. Also wanted to know if it would be a road block to know that it's a primarily commission based salary structure.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at CarMax in Jun 2013
Interview
4 hour + process. I had no appointment, just walked in to fill out an application.
Met with numerous supervisors, ultimately given written tests - much like a military ASVAB.
Lastly, was asked to submit for a urinalysis before let go home for the day.
Was offered job on the spot.
