I am describing the application process, but it was incredibly long and tedious. 2 examinations that took an incredibly long time, long application itself. Overall just a very long time to not hear anything back at all.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Many questions using critical thinking such as follow these design patterns and predict the next pattern.
I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at CarMax (Irvine, CA) in May 2019
Interview
1. Carmax calls you and Sets up a Phone interview.
2. Phone interview, if you sound promising they invite you for an in person interview
3. Schedule the In person Interview
4. In person interview with 1 of the managers. Sales portion with a second Manager observing.
5. Post review they offer you to come back for a final interview with the GM.
During stage 2 the managers stated that I did a great Job and would love to call me back for a 3rd interview the next day, they would call me to schedule. They didn't call me until 6 days later, I had already decided I wasn't going to work for a company that can't keep its promises to call back applicants. They proceeded to Send me an Email saying they had "chosen other candidates" (shame because I really wanted to go with them) Their process could use some work. Do not Interview here if you are looking for something quick, they take their time and have a corporate, snails pace to hire process.
