I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at CGI (Bengaluru) in Jul 2015
Interview
Two Rounds, One Technical and One HR. Technical Round was bit tough but if you are confident, definitely you can clear. HR will take time to get back. For me, it took One month to get the response.
Very unprofessional HR team and managers. Both my technical interviews went well. 1st round was technical face to face. Cleared it. After few days the manager called for whose project the hiring was taking place. His concerns were really unrealistically stupid. He was more worried about why in 7 years of my career, I’d changed 2 jobs. Will I be able to join early, despite explaining a 100 times to him and HR team that my notice period will be less since I was to come on bench in my present company.
It was a shock and cheap to see CGI was even bargaining on the minimal salary hike that I’d asked for. Not expected from a MNC like CGI.
2nd technical interview went well. It was grilling but answered questions correctly and with confidence. After repeatedly asking HR for the feedback, she emailed saying feedback was not positive.
I’m 100% confident, the reason for not hiring was not because my interview didn’t go well. But because you he manager had so many concerns. It shows the company is in weak hands and poor management!
I feel I’ve avoided myself from getting into a disaster.
