The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at CGI (Fairfax, VA) in Mar 2014
Interview
I applied online on the cgi careers page and was contacted about a month later for a phone interview. The manager worked remotely but we finally scheduled an interview for the following week. I went on the interview and it was very laid back. They're interested more in knowing about you and your future plans than technical skills. I got an offer within a week for more than I asked for.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at CGI (Bengaluru)

Interview
Positive experience, people from Graduate HR are brilliant and help with anything you need.
Interview consisted of CV and online questions, online Test and half-day assessment centre.
Key to get across in all aspects of the process how passionate you are about the type of work done at CGI. You need to have some sort of technical background but doesn't matter to much what that is.
Good assessment day and a great opportunity to get to know the company. Overall quite relaxed consists of an hour one-on-one interview with competency based questions and a group exercise. Again once they have established you have the necessary skills its all about the enthusiasm for the job itself as many staff there appear to have a real interest in what they do.
In terms of questions asked at interview they are pretty standard and nothing catches you out to much, my interview ended up turning into a nice chat about interests by the end of it so actually really enjoyed it.
N.B. Check the security clearance criteria as it can make it difficult if you have been out of the country for an extended period of time in the last 5 years due to the sensitive projects CGI works on.
