CGI interview questions

I was initially invited to a remote interview, after which I didn’t hear back for a while. I followed up with the interviewer—who turned out to be the design lead rather than an HR or recruitment professional—and it seemed he had forgotten about our meeting. He then invited me to a second interview and asked me to complete a design assessment. They emphasized the importance of process, so I made sure to thoroughly outline my design workflow within just a week. The second interview itself was poorly organized. I was seated across from two people, with no screen or monitor provided to present my work. I had to awkwardly present using my small laptop, which made the experience uncomfortable and far from ideal for showcasing detailed design work. One of the interviewers seemed disengaged throughout—frequently checking his phone and even rolling his eyes during my presentation. At the end, I received vague feedback about how they wouldn’t put me in front of customers, which left me questioning whether the role was truly design-focused or something else entirely. Despite promising to follow up, they never contacted me again. Overall, it was a disappointing and unprofessional experience, but in hindsight, I feel like I may have dodged a bullet.
