I received a call a month after applying. A manager reached out to me but I missed his call due to a dental appt. He wanted to know if I was still looking for work and left his office and cell number.
I called him back two hours later in the same day and left a message. I waited two days and tried again expressing my interest and also tried a week later. After that, I decided it wasn't worth it. If someone who is in a higher position is that rude and unprofessional to return a call or send a rejection email, how is that individual as a manager? I'm not sure if I'd want to work for someone who like that. Perhaps I dodged a bullet.
It's unfortunate that employers think it's okay to waste your time and ghost you, yet if a potential employee did the same you'd be dismissed or on the do not hire list.
