Beyond, Inc. interview questions

Got an email about phone interview.It was 15 min interview.It was a bit difficult interview.I applied in March.Got a call in April.There were two HR and the phone was conference connected. They were very friendly and started off with basic questions.

I was brought into the room and met with some very nice gentleman, great energy but something felt a little off. During the interview after we've finished. One of the Gentleman thanks me for my time letting me know I didn't get the job by telling me all the positions had already been filled. And if I had rocked the interview out of the park instead of performing at the same level they would have released an offer to someone else and gave me the Job. Letting me know they had filled the job a full week earlier. So this means they interviewed me for a job that was never there.
