Interview
Turned in application in person, week later received a call to schedule an interview.
It was a group interview of about 6 girls, we were interviewed at the food court of that mall. The hiring manager went over all the basic stuff and asked about each one of us. Then chose 3 girls at random to demonstrate how she would sell an item from their store.
I received a call back the next few days telling me i was hired. When you go in for orientation they make you watch a long video about the company (don't remember how many hrs long) and teach you how to use their registers.
I quit after a couple months because they would never give me any hours!
I applied in-person. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Bath & Body Works (Colonial Heights, VA) in Sep 2013
Interview
I walked in and submitted a application along with my resume to the manager on duty. I got a call for a group interview a month later. The group interview was myself, and 4 other girls. Before they took us to the storage room we were asked to pick a product from the store. Prepare yourself before the interview to demo your product. Go to their website, select a signature collection fragrance and study the top notes, and ingredients. Their product descriptions on their website are very informative! Be yourself, and speak up! It's okay to nerves, it's normal! But don't let your nerves keep you quiet! It's better to give a rocky answer than to seem shy. They want to see your personality so they can get a idea of how you will interact with customers. The mangers were super sweet! Just be friendly and smile!
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
You will be asked a lot of what would you do in this situation, and explain a time where such and such happened and how you responded. Nothing too difficult. Again, be yourself and smile!
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Bath & Body Works (The Woodlands, TX) in Sep 2013
Interview
A friend of mine was actually recently hired there as a sales lead. She said they were interviewing for co-managers and I had a strong history of management experience, so I applied. I interviewed with the store manager first. The interview with her was really easy and last about half an hour. She was really nice and upbeat. I got a call back the same day telling me that I would be scheduled for an interview with the DM the following day. The DM has injured her ankles, so it had to be a phone interview.
The interview with the DM was quite challenging. It lasted almost an hour a half. There were a lot of questions about my previous management experience, what I did on a daily basis, how that can relate to BBW. I come from a smaller company with smaller stores. She questioned my ability to manage 30+ employees at once and 300 transactions per hour. I really had to explain how I was up for the challenge and willing to learn. She made me describe my coaching skills in great detail and how I've helped other get promoted, etc.
