I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Arm (Cambridge, East of England, England)
Interview
Applied online by sending my CV and covering letter, got a response within a week inviting me to a Skype interview. Prior to the interview I had to email over my Skype username and a copy of all my university module grades. On the day of the interview I got a phone call (15mins late) from the interviewer asking for my Skype details (which I had sent to them). Interview started off with him asking me to run him through my cv, in which he constantly interrupted me and did not let me finish explaining some of my experiences. Had to then again tell him all my grades, which he should have. After this it was straight on to technical questions. Most of these I have not studied in 3 years so I should have revised a lot before hand. I was disappointed that there were no "why do I want to work for ARM?" Sort of questions as I was unable to show any passion and enthusiasm for the job. Overall my communication was not great (probably because of the tone of the interview made me very uncomfortable) but neither was his, and whole process showed (to me at least) a lack of communication within the company.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Arm (Oulu) in Nov 2016
Interview
First part was with the resource in charge of the role. Was held via Skype, since the location difference. It presented a fair information about the role, but was not anything special.
Second part I was invited to the premise (flight, cab etc) which was a day's worth of traveling. The interview in person didn't quite fit the justification of having someone travel an entire day, just to answer a few typical mediocre interview questions ("What was your best accomplishment and why do you think so?", "What is your biggest weakness?", etc.). Also figuring out my technical skills based upon 8 questions regarding Linux systems and SQL could have been done via video call.
Overall also got served with the impression of: "Alright, here is this guy who applied for some future position here, ask him few questions from this paper and send him off again."
Interview questions [5]
Question 1

Interview
1hr long phone call.
20 minutes talk about current position
10 minutes talk about my background an previous jobs.
30 minutes - brief quiz.
Mostly we are talking about my background and about testing engineer requirements in ARM. Interview was really easy, but I was not prepared. Interviewer was very polite. When I did't answer correct on questions we just go to the next question
