This position was with the software group of APS Engineering Support (AES). I was interviewed on-site by the team leader and with the three software engineers working under him. The interview lasted about two hours. The position primarily seemed to require Java GUI programming. The interview was a highly technical one. I was asked over 50 software development related questions covering basics of Java, C++, C, GUI development, GUI design patterns, software engineering, multithreaded programming, and Linux. Essentially, if you indicate that you possess a skill that could be of use, you can expect to be quizzed on it. None of the questions were too advanced, and I believe the interview was fair. The I was then given an opportunity to ask questions. The interview was professional and cordial, and the people were nice.
Six weeks passed and a decision was still not made, at which point I became frustrated with their ineptness and withdrew my application.
