The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Anheuser-Busch InBev
Interview
The process is much shorter than other Management Trainee program. It has 7 rounds
- Application form
- Online test: it is about culture fit
- Business Case: study a 11-page business case which has a lot of number for 20 mins, then there is an short presentation and some basic interview question.
- Behavioral interview: basic structured interview
- Business game: this is where most fun as well as challenges take place. This round is very well-organized and there are a lot of senior managers from all around the world to assess candidates. The round is really intense but I learn a lot from it.
- I was not invited to the panel interview.

Question 1
Tell me about a time when you are given negative feedbacks
I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Anheuser-Busch InBev (Providence, RI) in Oct 2016
Interview
I went to a career fair and they were there. Then they had an event on campus where we learned more about the company and the positions. Next, after applying, I had a case interview which involved reading a case and then pitching an idea for beers to two recruiters/employees. After passing this portion of interview, I had a more behavioral and past-work related interview to get to know me more with two interviewers. I did not move on to the next stage which is in NY.

Question 1
What company recently had a marketing/advertisement that impressed you?
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Anheuser-Busch InBev (Leuven, Flemish Brabant) in Feb 2017
Interview
Glassdoor reviews and AB InBev website describe the process very accurately: after submitting an online application, you are invited to take several online tests (cultural fit, situational strengths, logical reasoning) which are not too difficult to pass.
If successful, you are invited for a strength-based interview followed by a business case, all on the phone. The time constraint and amount of data/information make it a challenging but also very interesting exercise.
The next step is the ABI Assessment Centre which is also challenging and fast-paced but also pleasant experience. Throughout the day, you take part in several individual and group exercises where your strengths, motivation and fit with the company culture and demanding attributes of the programme are tested.
I was not invited to the last stage of the process which would have been a panel interview in Leuven. I perfectly understand the reasons why they did not select me and I don't dispute them. It's a very selective, competitive programme. However I was disappointed with the feedback that I have received. I was expecting a more detailed account of the strengths that I demonstrated and the weaknesses that I need to work on. Instead I had a 2/3 min phone call who could only say that I wasn't incisive enough and needed to develop my leadership credibility. And that was it for the "detailed feedback" I was told I would get.
Overall a very interesting experience, great opportunity to learn about the company and the industry. Too bad that it ends on a somehow sour note with such a light/rushed feedback.
